Do I need to own a bonsai to join?

Not at all! Many members join to learn before purchasing their first tree. Our workshops and expert advice will help you choose the right tree for you.
Can anyone attend a meeting?

Yes! Non-members are always welcome to attend their first meeting for free to see what we're all about before deciding to officially join the club. We charge a small visitor's fee (£2.50) from your second visit onwards - unless you decide to become a member of course.
How often does the society meet?

We meet on the first Thursday of every month. Please check the Events page for this year's programme and the Location page for exact times and locations.
I have bought/been given a tree and it is struggling! Can you help?

We sure can! Bring your tree into our next meeting. Our senior members offer free, hands-on diagnostics and styling advice to all newcomers.
What are your membership fees?

Non-members are always welcome to attend their first meeting for free to see what we're all about before deciding to officially join the club. We charge a small visitor's fee (£2.50) from your second visit onwards - unless you decide to become a member of course. The current annual membership fee is £34.
Which speakers do you host?

We have a varied amount of speakers visiting our meetings. Listed are some of the speakers - in no particular order - that we host quite regularly: David Cheshire from David Cheshire Nurseries Ltd, Corin Tomlinson from Greenwood Bonsai Studio, Ian Homer of Walsall Bonsai School, Malcolm Hughes of FOBBS.
I have a tree I want to sell, are you able to buy it off me?

Please contact us via the contact form and we will distribute the offer among our members to see if anyone is interested in purchasing the specific tree(s).
Do I need specialised bonsai tools to join?

Not at all, a lot of our members originally started with just a pair of secateurs. At meetings where tools are required, we always have some spares to use by newer members.
