The subject of the meeting on Thursday 1st October was “Moss, Ferns and Accent Plants”. There was an excellent display of these items brought along by various members and it was a good job that our newly acquired folding tables were on hand to carry the load.
After inspection of the fare on offer Teanah Rowland presented several You Tube videos about various aspects of each of the three items on the agenda, which were well received.
I would imagine that several members, and that includes me, now appreciate that accent plants can be used not only in conjunction with the display of a bonsai tree but also as a display tree in their own right.
